Commissioner of Transport Assam Recruitment Details-
1. Junior Assistant (H.Q. & District)
No. of posts: 09 (UR-7, OBC/MOBC-2, )
Education Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University of any examination declared equivalent by the Government.
2. Junior Assistant (District)
No. of posts: 26 (UR-14, OBC/MOBC-12,)
Education Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University of any examination declared equivalent by the Government.
3. Stenographer
No. of posts: 1 (UR-1)
Education Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University of any examination declared equivalent by the Government.
4. Computer Assistant
No. of posts: 1 (UR-1)
Education Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University of any examination declared equivalent by the Government.
5. Asstt. Enforcement Inspector
No. of posts: 8 (UR-3, OBC/MOBC-4, ST(P)-1)
Education Qualification – 10.2 (intermediate/ HSSLCI from a recognized Board of any examination declared equivalent by the Government
6. Enforcement Checker
No. of posts: 8 (UR-3, OBC/MOBC-4, ST(P)-1)
Education Qualification – 10th Pass from a recognized Board of any examination declared equivalent by the Government
Educational Qualification:
(a) Educational Qualification for the post of Junior Assistant (H.Q. & District)/ Computer, a candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University of any examination declared equivalent by the Government. Moreover, a candidate for the post of Junior Assistant must possess computer skills for handling data and text on computer as per Govt. Notification No. ABP.199/2015/3, dtd. 27th September’ 2016.
(b) Educational Qualification for the post of Stenographer, a candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University of any examination declared equivalent by the Government. Moreover, a candidate for the post of Stenographer must possess computer skills for handling data and text on computer along with ITI Diploma/ Certificate in Stenographer and Typing 80 word per minutes.
(c) Educational Qualification for the post of Assistant Enforcement Inspector, a candidate must passed 10+2 (intermediate/ HSSLC) from a recognized Board of any examination declared equivalent by the Government.
(d) Educational Qualification for the post of Enforcement Checker, a candidate must passed Class 10 (HSLC) from a recognized Board of any examination declared equivalent by the Government.
Age Limit:
The candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 43 years of age on the 1st day of January’ 2018. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, and in respect of ex-servicemen, age limit is relaxable by two years. The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation / HSLC Admit Card / Certificate issued by a recognized Board / Council. No other document shall be accepted in lieu thereof for the purpose.
How To Apply-
Application will have to be submitted in the District Transport Office of the District from where the candidates desire to appear. Applicants should have registered their names in any of the Employment Exchanges of the State of Assam and valid registered number should be indicated on the application with self-attested copies of Employment Exchange registration Card.
The application must be accompanied by the following documents:
(i) Three copies of recent passport size photograph and duly signed by the candidates indicating his/her full name on the back side of photograph.
(ii) A copy of age certificate / which may be birth certificate / HSLC Certificate dully attested.
(iii) Educational qualification certificate dully attested.
(iv) Caste certificate for reserved category candidates duly attested.
(v) Self-addressed postage paid envelop of 10″X 4.5″ size.
(vi) Employment Exchange registration Card duly attested.
1. The last date of receipt of application is 16.08.2018. No application will be entertained after the last date fixed.
2. The application will be received District wise in all District Transport Officer’s office throughout the State on all working days upto the last day of receipt.
3. In case of Kamrup (Metro) District, application will be received in the District Transport Officer’s office Kamrup (R&L), Betkuchi, Guwahati.
4. Application found incomplete and which does not conform to the requisite qualification or found to contain false, misrepresentation shall be rejected.
