Name Of Post – System Administrator
No of posts:01

Pay: Rs. 30,000 — 1,10,000 + Grade pay — Rs. 14,500/-
Educational Qualification: B.E/ B. Tech degree with 60% marks in Computer Science and Engineering/ Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering from an UGC approved Indian University with 5 (five) years working experience computing at University /IT Sector or any other similar sector.
Age: Minimum age should be 18 years and Maximum age of 44 years as on 01/01/2018. Relaxation of 5 (five) years in age for SC/ST candidates.

Name Of Post – Secretary to the Vice Chancellor
No of posts: 01

Pay: Rs. 22,000 — 87,000 + Grade pay — Rs. 9,100/-
Educational Qualification:  Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA from any UGC recognized Indian University having experience of minimum 3 (Three) years in any organisation with computer application, office management using standard IT tools, secretarial and office practice etc.
Age: Minimum age should be 18 years and Maximum age of 44 years as on 01/01/2018. Relaxation of 5 (five) years in age for SC/ST candidates.

Name Of Post – Assistant Accountant

Pay: Rs. 14,000- 49,000 + Grade pay: Rs. 8,000/-
Educational Qualification: Graduate in Commerce with specialization in Accountancy from any UGC recognized Indian University. Desirable: 1. Knowledge in accounting procedure in Government, Semi Government or Autonomous organization will be preferred. 2. Experience in Accounting software preferably Tally will be an added qualification.
Age: Minimum age should be 18 years and Maximum age of 44 years as on 01/01/2018. Relaxation of 5 (five) years in age for SC/ST candidates.

Name Of Post – Administrative Assistant
No of posts: 01

Pay: Rs. 14,000- 49,000 + Grade pay: Rs. 8,700/-
Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from any UGC recognized Indian University with skill in computer, knowledge of office procedure in Govt., Semi Govt. or Autonomous organization. Desirable: Computer proficiency in office procedures, data analysis in MS Word, MS Excel etc.
Age: Minimum age should be 18 years and Maximum age of 44 years as on 01/01/2018. Relaxation of 5 (five) years in age for SC/ST candidates.

Application Fee:

Application processing fee for Sl. No 1 is Rs. 1000/- only (rupees One Thousand Only) and for Sl. No 2, 3 and 4 is Rs. 500/- only (Rupees Five Hundred Only). Reserved category applicants need to pay 50% of the above specified amount. This application fee is non- refundable. All fees to be paid online or Demand Draft in favour of Assam Science and Technology University, Guwahati payable at State Bank of India, AEC Branch, Branch Code – 010670, Guwahati-781013, Assam.

How to apply: 

Application form: Prescribed application form may be downloaded from the ASTU website www.astu.ac.in. Last date of application to be received at university office: 25th October, 2018.

A candidate should not submit more than one application for one post. The envelop sending the application should be superscribed “Application for the post of “Name of the Post (Post code)” on the top of the envelope addressed to The Registrar, Assam Science and Technology University, Tetelia Road, Jalukbari, Guwahati-781013. The size of the prescribed application form is approximately 21 cm x 29.7cm (A4 size). Only downloaded form will be accepted.

Online mode of payment:

Visit www.astu.ac.in  Click online payment. Select State of Corporate/Institution as Assam and select Type of Corporate/Institution as Education Institutions; Select Educational Institutions Name as Assam Science and Technology University after that subsequent application fee for the post. Printout of online receipt is to be attached with the application. No cheques or cash will be accepted.
