That year, the first mobile healthcare van was rolled out in the state of Punjab with the objective to deliver primary healthcare to underprivileged sections of society in remote villages. RRDT was rechristened as Ranbaxy Community Healthcare Society (RCHS) in 1994 and renamed as Sun Pharma Community Healthcare Society (SPCHS) in 2016. SPCHS is registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 & also registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) 1976 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.
